Enoch Dickerson III, son of a rural textile worker and devoted homemaker, grew up in Williamsburg County alongside his six siblings with the values of hard work and service. After excelling in school, he pursued studies at Trident Technical College in welding and machinery, and later expanded into mechanical engineering. His career began at General Electric in 1971, and his commitment to lifelong learning continued with training at the National Judicial College of Nevada, the South Carolina Criminal Justice Academy, and graduation from the South Carolina Municipal Association in 2024.
In 1978, Enoch married his wife, Zanziea Theresa Kinloch. Together, they raised three daughters and one son and are now proud grandparents. The Dickerson family has called Lincolnville home since 1984, where Enoch has devoted decades of service to the community. He served 16 years as Municipal Court Judge in Lincolnville, 6 years in Ridgeville, chaired the Lincolnville Crimewatch for 16 years, and was a town council member for 12 years before being elected as Lincolnville’s 44th Mayor in 2021.
As Mayor, Enoch has led transformative progress: revitalizing public safety, renovating town facilities, adding new green spaces, stabilizing town finances, and supporting housing development. In 2022, his leadership helped Lincolnville achieve recognition by the National Parks Service as a historical site, honoring the town’s heritage.
He is an active member of Brownsville Community Church of God, where he serves as Chairman of the Scholarship Committee and Trustee Board Member. A man of many talents, he also enjoys freelance architecture and designing blueprints in his spare time. Mayor Dickerson remains committed to servant leadership, dedicated to God, family, and the people of Lincolnville. His vision continues to focus on preserving the town’s historic roots while building a thriving future for generations to come.
